Dog Board and Train Programs in Santa Clarita Valley
Your dog is boarded with us at the ranch for a structured training program tailored to their needs. We work on practical obedience, daily routines, and the behaviors discussed during your evaluation, then teach you how to continue the work at home.
What Your Program Includes
Training built into every part of the day.
Training throughout the daily routine
Focused training sessions are supported by consistent handling, exercise, crate or kennel rest, and everyday boundaries. Dogs practice skills such as sit, down, place, recall, leash walking, and impulse control as appropriate to their program.
Confidence and behavior work
Fear, anxiety, or reactivity can make obedience more difficult. When needed, we work on confidence and responses to triggers alongside obedience, adjusting the pace to the dog.
Practice around distractions
The ranch provides room to practice focus, distance work, and leash skills around everyday activity. Field trips may be included when appropriate to the dog’s readiness and program.
Weekly Paw Partner updates
You receive weekly updates through Paw Partner about your dog’s training, progress, and what we are working on next.
Transfer lessons and follow through
Transfer lessons show you the cues, handling, rewards, and tools used with your dog. We explain the home routine and how to keep practicing. Owner participation and consistency are essential to maintaining progress.
Included group classes
Included group classes offer opportunities to continue practicing after board & train, subject to your dog’s suitability and trainer approval. Your enrollment details specify the number of included classes.

The program length and goals are recommended after evaluation. More complex behavior cases may require additional time and ongoing work at home.
Two week foundation program
A starting point for suitable dogs who need basic obedience and household manners. Work may include sit, down, place, introductory recall, loose-leash walking, crate routines, and threshold manners. Includes two transfer lessons and three group classes, subject to suitability and scheduling. The two week program will not resolve significant fear, anxiety, or aggression.
Three week program
Builds on foundational obedience with more time to strengthen consistency and practice around distractions. This program also addresses minor behavioral issues, with training tailored to your dog’s needs. Includes three transfer lessons to help you continue the training at home.
Four week program
Provides additional time for advanced obedience, distraction work, and behavior modification for moderate concerns identified during the evaluation. Off-leash training may be included based on your dog’s readiness and progress. Includes four transfer lessons to help you apply and maintain the training at home.
Five week program
Our most comprehensive option for dogs needing additional time for obedience and behavior modification, including moderate to more complex behavioral concerns. Training focuses on building confidence, improving responses to triggers, and developing consistent habits. We establish realistic goals during the evaluation and teach you how to continue supporting your dog’s progress at home.
Refresher training for returning dogs
Dogs previously trained by our team may be eligible for a refresher stay to reinforce existing skills. The length and price are agreed before booking. Refresher training is intended for maintenance, rather than new foundational training or major behavior work.
Before Your Dog Arrives
